The presentation of the 2011 Nobel laureates will take place on Tuesday December 6th at 7.00 p.m. at the University of Agder, Sal 1 (Hall 1) of Sigurd Køhns hus (K-building), Campus Gimlemoen in Kristiansand. Refreshments. All welcome!

Ernst Håkon Jahr awarded the Nordic Prize of the Swedish Academy

President of Agder Academy, professor Ernst Håkon Jahr, was April 2011 awarded the Nordic Prize of the Swedish Academy. Read more about prof. Jahr, the Prize and the Swedish Academy here. Academy moments

The main mission of Agder Academy of Sciences and Letters is to strengthen the scientific activity in the Agder region, and increase the general understanding of the vital importance of science in society. This mission is accomplished in particular by organizing public meetings, conferences and seminars, and by focusing on outstanding academic achievements through the awarding of academic prizes.
